Description:
13-year-old girl. She was hospitalized because of loose, bloody stools. Colonoscopy revealed numerous erosions and ulcers displaying a cobblestone appearance.
Crohn's disease in colon. Biopsy specimen. Histologically, chronic inflammatory cells can be detected in the stoma of the intestine wall. Under the epithelium, in the submucosa some noncaseating granuloma appear, with epitheloid and giant cells.Created date: 2005-12-03
